You're not fishing Sydney and neither am I, you are a fucking moron.

Small wonder Gold is happy. A mediocre season, no signings yet season tickets sold out again.
Survival on a shoestring, better to finish 16th with a net spend of 25 million than 8th with a net spend of 60 million.
Fuck the next level or building a team it's all about hard cash.
Time everyone took the blinkers off and got real

"I wonder if you were one of the posters who were telling others they were 'knicker wetting' in the last few windows as well? We've been chasing a decent forward for 3 years"

I could have been PD? But they were pretty dire there is no getting away from that, could have been a whole lot better last summer especially, maybe we were relying to long on Bacca to come around to the idea of playing for us, as im sure Inter had agreed the deal.

Last glimer of hope we had was when Valencia arrived in 2014, took a while to settle but at one point it looked like him and Sakho were starting to forge a partnership and all the talk was what happens when Carroll returns, that short lived partnership fizzled out before it really got going though.

Not making excuses but bad luck has also played its part, this window im not sure what to make of, for Once Sullivan is keeping things pretty close to his chest, I just hope that’s a good sign.

I wished the old cunt would hurry up and .

Thing is it won't stop. People like Gold are far removed from reality and the real world. He moves in different circles and will have people telling him every day how great the stadium is and congratulating him on ST sales. He aint putting up tweets thinking I wonder if this will piss off a few bods on westhamonline.

Sydney - I wonder if you were one of the posters who were telling others they were 'knicker wetting' in the last few windows as well? We've been chasing a decent forward for 3 years ffs.

Re: Gold at it again (another fine bounce by Eddie B)
Not just WHU but football in general norman, all in part down to the TV money, incompetent governing bodies and greedy agents, they run the game, not the clubs, on the one hand I don’t blame the players for wanting there slice but fuck me its getting ridiculous when players (or there agents) are demanding more in a day than most people will see in a year, plus sign on fees, image rights whatever they are and endorsements.

Problem is after a lifetime following the game and in particular West Ham you cant just walk away, sure you can sit back a bit, but come game days your still going to watch the game or at least check the result, and get that nice high that West Ham won or the feeling of being pissed off if we lose.

I’m over 45 BTW!!!

Oh, and Johnson, thanks for the bite...........................LOL

I'm not a betting man..but if I was ..I'd say the vast majority of over 45s like myself have had it with this modern version of WHUFC.

The support is rapidly declining in standards..

Agreed Sydney but classing many on here as "knicker wetters" time after time on here is getting rather old mate - respect your optimism however and I hope you are indeed right that we will get the right players in by the end of the window.

Owner being optimistic about the future shocker!

But agree Grasshopper maybe he should tweet a little less, im a supporter and just like those who moan I reserve the right to say how I see things….

I would suggest he said nothing at all, I would also suggest the same to you Sydney

Re: Gold at it again (another fine bounce by Eddie B)
He’s dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn’t.

If he came out and said there is no way we will be in the Champions league within 5 years, what would the reaction be from the anti Owners and managers brigade on WHO?

Pretty much the same as he has said we could be in the Champions league within the next 5 years would be my guess???……………………Knicker wetting!

LOL

Re: Gold at it again
Gold cannot see why we wouldn't be in the Champions League, he must think it's going to happen by wishfull thinking, the silly old sod, it's not going to happen through the playing staff they buy.

Thanks for the name check.
This thread just goes to show how this old tosser is just getting worse. Why put that up about the stadium, that he knows thousands of the fans hate, when he knows everyone is going mental over the lack of signings, and especially the embarrassment regarding the Iheanacho transfer.
He either doesn't give a fuck, or is deliberately winding people up.

In all honesty, what sort of cunt really gives a shit about how what we have compares to what others have? If it's fit for purpose, it's fit for purpose. If it's not, it's not.

All else is attention seeking bollocks.

Move on and see if you can get a life while you're at it.

Re: Gold at it again
As usual, an utter embarrassment. Today we've seen him celebrating having our kit rated as 2nd best and the stadium being6th best. He talks about upgrading the stadium but him and Sullivan haven't upgraded the team at all.

Well, the "Champions" League goes down to 4th now, whose to say in 5 years it won't stretch down to 10th?

Re: Gold at it again
Yes quite.
Seems to me that they would happily lose all the "troublesome" longstanding fans if they could fill the the LS with newbie types and families who will accept their bullshit as they know no better, and sing "super Slav" as we struggle to avoid relegation.

They're taking more than the piss out of us. They're taking 7% interest pa the thieving bastards.

Re: Gold at it again
Same level of delusion as when Venkys bought Blackburn and pledged 5m to get them in in the CL.

Our owners are taking the piss out out of us, I think they are only interested in the newbie type fans and ST holders we have attracted since the move as the long standing hardcore fans have seen straight through their bullshit and this is an awkward inconvenience for them. The nonsense flowing from Gold now is aimed at those that won't question it.

Re: Gold at it again
I was hoping our new PR bloke would tell the lot of them to ditch twitter, or at least stop with all WH related shit. It is embarrassing and causes aggro no matter how well intentioned.
